ABOUT RACHEL

Rachel M. Gears writes novels that explore personal struggles and the dark side of magic. Born and raised in upstate New York, she has always been captivated by made-up worlds and the characters that bring them to life. She holds a Master’s degree in political science from Indiana University, and has previously worked in banking. 

When not writing, Rachel enjoys painting her nails and watching reality TV. In rare moments when she’s not curled over her desk, she can be found on a run or adding to her ever-expanding nail polish collection. She currently resides with her partner in Rochester, NY.
